UIS classifies the school structure in Iran as having a 5-3-4 structure, incorporating the year of ?pre-university? into upper secondary.
Among other data sources, unique EPDC data collections for Iran include administrative data from the Statistical Centre of Iran (2005 - 2007, 2010), household survey data from IPUMS microdata (2006), indicators derived from UIS data, and learning outcomes data including PIRLS (2006, 2011), and TIMSS (2003, 2007, 2011).
