As of 2013, UIS classifies the school structure in Mauritius as having a 6-3-4 structure. Because this is not in alignment with the nationally-defined school system structure, UIS indicators do not reflect the nature of the official education system. Care should be taken when interpreting UIS data for Mauritius.
Among other data sources, unique EPDC data collections for Mauritius include administrative data from the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development (2000 - 2008), National Statistical Office (2000 - 2011), indicators derived from UIS data, and learning outcomes data including SACMEQ (2003, 2007).
