Shows a cross-tabulation of female GER and male GER in 1970 for unspecified number of countries.

Use Animated Graphs to show education trends in a moving picture. The Animated Graphs Search features gender disparity in enrolment rates 1970-2005; human capital pyramids; and pupils by grade pyramids. More are under development.

EPDC draws inspiration from the pioneering work of Gapminder and the Trendalyzer.

Human Capital Pyramids

Human capital pyramid graph, showing male/female schooling levels by age.

Human capital pyramids show the population by sex, age, and educational attainment (the highest level of education a person has achieved). Human capital pyramids can show age and gender-patterns in educational attainment. The animated version shows a human capital pyramid as it changes over time today to 2025. It is based on EPDC projections with the EdPop model.

Pupil by Grade Pyramids

Pupil by Grade pyramids, showing male/female grade distribution in various countries in 2015.

Pupil by grade pyramids show the number of pupils by sex and by grade over time from 2000-2025. The pyramids include years of historical data (generally from 2000-2007) from UIS, and pupil projections from the EPDC using the model ProEnrol or HIPE check!!

Gender Disparity in Enrollment Rates (1970-2005)

Gender Disparity in Enrollment graph, representative of an animated graph that shows changes through the years.

The animated education enrolment disparity graphs show male and female primary and secondary gross enrolment rates as they change from 1970-2007. The figures show that globally there has been marked progress towards declining gender disparity, but also that in particular countries, the problem persists almost unabated to this day.
