Projection Tools Search Projected Data HIPE Model ProjecTrend ProEnrol Ed Pop Demo Ed

DemoEd is the most visual and comprehensive of the EPDC models. It projects population, pupils, teachers, teaching training, school budgets, educational attainment, and links to health and economic growth. It has been applied to Zambia, Nicaragua, Nigeria and Uganda. It is programmed in the simulation package Vensim.

Education Projection

This is a visual, dynamic planning tool to help education planners and education financers to lay-out cost-efficient strategies to meet their education goals for primary and secondary school.

  1. Download and on the Vensim Reader Installer.

  2. Make a folder on your computer for your model and download the Excel file and Vensim file below that are associated with your country of interest. Save these files in the folder that you created.

  3. Start the model and teach yourself, or work through our online course and do the suggested homework assignments below. Write to epdc@aed.org to let us know you are taking the course individually or want to set up an e-workshop for multiple participants, so we can be available for questions and homework correction.

    To view the lessons, you need to have Flash (8 or above), which is available free from Adobe.
